Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SkillCraft (the "Service") operated by SkillCraft ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

SkillCraft is an AI-powered resume optimization platform that helps users tailor their resumes for specific job applications. The Service includes resume analysis, keyword optimization, ATS scoring, cover letter generation, and related features.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain more than one free account

3. Plans & Billing

Free Plan

The free plan includes a limited number of resume optimizations. Free plan limits are lifetime limits, not monthly.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly, quarterly, or annually through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Prices are in USD and may include applicable taxes. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of your billing period.

Credits

Credits are prepaid units that can be used for resume optimizations, cover letters, and section edits. Credits are non-refundable and do not expire. Credit balances are non-transferable between accounts.

Refunds

Refund requests for subscriptions are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Credit pack purchases are non-refundable. Contact us at support@getskillcraft.com for refund inquiries.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is fraudulent, misleading, or contains false credentials
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, plan restrictions, or security measures
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or white-label the Service without written permission
• Upload malicious files or content designed to exploit the system

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (resumes, profiles, job descriptions). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your content solely to provide the optimization service.

We do not claim ownership of your resumes or use your content for marketing or training purposes. AI-optimized output is derived from your input and belongs to you.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI to suggest improvements to your resume. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated suggestions before using them. We do not guarantee that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

AI suggestions are not professional career advice. We recommend having your resume reviewed by a qualified professional for critical applications.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillCraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. ATS scores are estimates and may differ from actual applicant tracking system results.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time through Settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of Bangalore, India.
